About Shonora Coffee
Shonora Coffee originates from the prestigious Guji region of Ethiopia, renowned for its rich coffee heritage and unique growing conditions. Situated in the Oromia region, the Guji zone offers a perfect blend of high altitudes, fertile volcanic soil, and a tropical highland climate, making it ideal for producing world-class Arabica coffee.
Our journey began over 25 years ago when the Shonora family pioneered coffee production in Guji. With a deep-rooted passion for excellence, we established one of the first dry and wet coffee processing stations in the area. Today, the legacy continues with multiple generations actively managing the business, ensuring sustainability and innovation in every bean.
At Shonora Coffee Trading, we collaborate with over 150 local farms located at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,300 meters above sea level. We empower these farmers with financial support, agronomy training, and investment guidance, while recognizing their outstanding contributions through annual rewards.
Our commitment extends beyond coffee. We invest in community development, improving public transportation, road infrastructure, and educational opportunities through scholarship programs. Our vision also includes building a hospital to better serve the local community.
